Young Hope

Young Hope

A Poem by David McNeeley

I see you singing like you'll never age
Like you could live forever
And it makes me wish I was there again
I makes me wish I was young

I see your dance
As you choose your mate
I see what was
And what could be

I see what was lost
And wish to lose what has been found
I see your innocence
And I wonder when it will end

Treasure these moments my friend
For soon they'll be gone
And you'll wish you still had tomorrow
You'll wish it was yours

I may still have time left on this rock
But I remember when I didn't think about it
And in you I find inspiration
In you I find hope

This is a very honest piece. We all need to treasure the moments and memories that we have, because there will be a time when it all fades away.. Great write.
