Hush

Hush

A Poem by Gillzy

When a tree gets cut down,
Do you hear it complaining?
When a river is dammed,
Does it moan its life away?
And when a garden is tidied,
Does the world stop in its tracks
For every weed that lost its life?

Then what does it matter in ours,
If no one cares about their lives?
The world continues to live.

A chair is made.
Electricity produced.
Flower's life saved.
Life goes on.

The silver lining does exist.
Sometimes you don't even need to
Look for it.
Sometimes the event
Is the outcome that was needed.

The need for complaining,
When the rest of the world goes on,
Becomes null and void.

So hush, my love,
Just remember that
Tomorrow is another day,
What's in the past is gone.
Who knows what wonders await you…

Things remain in their transformation from one form to another. Economy of life. Such wisdom and insight for one so young, Gillzy. I have much to learn from you. I still enjoy baying at the moon, letting my wretched howl pierce the sky. But yes all things continue, so does life, though things, people and ideas may pass. Cheers, my friend. Rob

This is such an inspirational piece. It moves one with truths and ideals of how one should face things in light of past regrets.

aww a great poem. It is leading to many thoughts and it is so vivid, so transcendental. I loved this

The silver lining does exist.
Sometimes you dont even need to
Look for it.
Sometimes the event
Is the outcome that was needed.

the first stanza is outstanding. It grabs at your collar and shakes whatever sadness thats in the heart. :) We must move in life and not mourn forever.

this is a really nice piece
deep and thoughtful,
and seems though the character has given up hope
betrayed
let down
and dissapointed

i love how you ended it
wonderfully said
and once again
life goes on....

Well done. Positive ending. Sweet on the 'hush'. Vague, but the feeling is well communicated.

I like this piece alot. "The silver lining does exist, sometimes you don't even need to look for it", that's absolutely true. Hope is what sustains me when all else fails.
