Sun Guide Me

Sun Guide Me

A Poem by J. David

I have missed these nights,
Where we drunkenly sway,
And dance to the rythym of our hearts.

The future watches from the horizen,
An impatient sun threatens to separate us,
But lets us finish our train of thoughts before guiding us back into tomorrow.

We talked of movies and what they meant to us,
Of stories we have found the words for but the order of them remain unclear,
And reassure one another that by the time the sun rises we will have our masterpiece.

We part with a kiss,
goodbye on our lips,
And made our own ways home.

Sun guide my feet,
For they dance to the rythym,
Of a heart that no longer belongs to me.
