She Held

She Held

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Just when she thought she lost the battle...

"
SHE HELD

It was twelve wasted years
Oh the wasted resources
The useless healing processes
It's the end of all things

When the rope has come to its end
Nothing to hold, nothing to be taken
Everything and everyone seemed gone
Feeling alone, refused and forsaken

Suddenly a shadow in the night
It's a glimpse of hope that came to light
A whisper of faith urged her to fight
To stand and pursue the shining Knight

It was far beyond her reach
But the whisper was great
"Go! Before you lose your breath
He alone can restore your health!"

Oh the push and pull of the throng!
Yet the whisper turned so strong,
"Fear not My Child, just come along!
Your healing will never come that long."

She fell and she stumbled
But determined to push forward
To the hem of His garment she held
Yet she found her face at the ground

Just when she thought she lost the battle
The whisper she heard became so audible
"Who touched Me? Oh My precious one!
Fear not, your faith has made you whole!"
