Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by G.A. Wonders

I showed you my scars
Because I trusted in you
I opened my heart
Then you go and cut it in two

It's still so hard for me to take it

We got very far
Seems it didn't matter to you
Now I'm seeing all the stars
Thinking of what should I do

My mind's getting full and all messy
While tears are falling from my eyes
My soul couldn't be more heavy
Somebody get help from the skies

You and me were the perfect match
Even though for others it wasn't right
Just when I thought our hearts were going to attach
You dare to stab on my back a knife

I thought you were the one
I thought you were mine
Now I know I was wrong
That with you I just wasted my time

Right now, right here
I'll let you know
That even thought I want you near,
I'll let you go
