Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed

A Poem by Kenzi Griffin

If only he knew what was going through my head

All the pain and memories he caused.

The pain that just keeps building inside of me,

Everytime he shatters my heart.

Where will this pain go when it becomes too unbearable?

How am I going to get rid of it?

It overcomes me,

Breaks me down until I can no longer resist.

That is when all hell will break loose.

Only those who know, will see what has been done,

But he will remain out in the dark.

For he shall never see my pain.

I have only written this because I have no other way to express my feelings. He won't see this, the one who has shattered my heart. But I can't help but wish he knew :(

A great poem about not being able to express your feeling to the one person who really needs to hear it. "How am I going to get rid of it?" This has to be my favorite line, because we all know that the answer is: You just have to tell him what you're feeling. I think you should expand a little more by saying why you can't tell him your feelings. Over all I really do love it. We all know that anxious, sad, feeling and having to deal with it by ourselves because we can't take care of the issue for whatever reasons. You do a great job expressing that, such a painful, hurt voice. On a more interesting topic of pain and depression. Good Job. I hope you get the courage to either show him this or tell him your feeling this way

There is real pain in this poem... Beautifully written. If he doesn't see, make him hear.
