Insanity

Insanity

A Poem by Kenzi Griffin

She whispers to herself,
the voices getting louder
as she tries to ignore them.
They whisper
secrets,
pleas,
accusations
to her, trying to get to her.
She covers her ears,
Screams for help.
she opens her eyes,
She tries to move,
Her arms are tight against her.
She cries as the voices get louder.
She can't move, can't get away.
Her jacket is too tight.
Her breath speeds up
The voices overcome her thoughts.
Slowly her vision dies,
And she is free.
