A Neophyte's Voice from Heaven

A Neophyte's Voice from Heaven

A Poem by Beautiful's Sorrow Song
"

The poem is set in the eyes of a young child who has been kidnapped and murdered. The title has a double meaning and kudos if you understand it. Enjoy.

"

I grab the hand of stranger and walk down the street,

I wonder if mommy's gunna start looking for me.

I grab the grass in agony,

I wonder if this is my last.

I grab the hearts of the millions who are in search for me,

I wonder if they see my body floating in the stream.

I grab the hand of God,

I wonder if He reached for me.

I grab the hand of my mommy as she cries over me,

I wonder if she knows my souls at sea.

I grab the hands of innocence,

I wonder if the hand is ready for me.

Beautiful! I think we have all felt this way. Reaching, searching, wanting to be seem and heard. I really enjoy your writing.

Beautiful,
The subject is haunting. It draws me in. Thank you for your portrayal of child abuse.

Hello, I'm Beautiful. Yes, it's not my "real" name but I find myself attached to the word and it's meaning, which I believe in fit well internally if not externally. Beautiful-Adj. Having beauty. I.. more..
