Just a Moment

Poetry used to help gain peace.

Times slide by faster and faster

watching moments fade away.

Calling in the night

for just one more second.

One more reason to hold on

before it all slips by.

Turbulent emotions

jumbled up in a mind overflowing.

Masks no longer shade

they are becoming transparent.

For a moment just listen

allow the wall to crumble unbidden.

For just a moment

allow the valve to open.

For a second

allow the mask to unviel.

For a breath

just be.
