I wish I could

I was going through my mibba account and apparently there are a bunch of poems on there that I do not have on here. So this is at least a few years old.

When I look into your eyes
I wish I could get past these lies
And take a chance to be
With someone who means something to me

I wish I could get past these fears
But these mistakes I have made
The lives that I have changed
The people whom I have hurt

I want to be close to you
But I find that I can’t
I want you to know I care about you
But I find that I can’t

I find that I can’t
As I am stared in the face
By the mistakes I have made
As they all come flooding back

I want you to know I wish I could be more
Cause you are definitely someone I adore
I want you to know this is all true
I truly care about you.
