These Moments

These Moments

How I long for more moments like these

Together, resting amidst the circle of chairs

It seems so simple, just the two of us

But it’s right where my heart wants to be

Pressing, ever so lightly against yours.

Caught up together as time escapes,

Running rampantly without worries

Leaving us clueless on where it went

But not regretting its loss.

All else fades, when it’s the two of us

Nothing can seemingly ruin the moment

If only this is all there was to life

If only there was nothing else

If only, this moment could last a lifetime.
