Mind so conflicted
Tormented by betraying thoughts 
Tearing apart the foundation

Blackened heart
Oozing out filth
Polluting every thought wave

Everything I once knew
Gone, shattered
Leaving me empty

A shell
Wondering lifelessly
Going through the motions

Eyes hurting
Pain wells up inside
Waiting to explode

Hope dissipating 
Burdened by past mistakes 
Suffocating my soul.
