"Sooner" or Later

sooner or later love is gonna get you

unless you have the dust bowl in your eyes

maybe you get lost in the panhandle

not paying any attention caught by surprise

how come there is so much dusty dirt

when there is water water water everywhere

from Chelsea to McAlester lakes abound

and the Norman's ain't Mormons I so do declare

cowboys and cowgirls riding the fence

keeping a look for rattlers snipping at your feet

Ole Bud Wilkinson now he was a legend

his boys were the meanest of any you could meet

yeah the guys are tough they will kick your behind

but the ladies are so darn cute you can't deny

unless you are wearing blinders I can guarantee

sooner or later they're gonna catch your eye
