Midtown Tunnel Blues

This is from a book Ive worked on for awhile Dont know honestly if I'll ever finish it but being im in a rut figured id show it anyways

Nights take there exit in whisps of the sunrises kiss.
In thought I felt the passion.
As in boby i left her apon the warmth of a single bed.

 

As I drifted down streets of of fading night.
The zombies of tommorow just waking to catch a glimpse ofthe fading street lights.

I recalled the encouter that cast a watercolor of passion within
my mind.

As emptyness eat away my pressent.

I yerned for the conection we never shared the release
into a world of unending rejection.
As screwed up people just killed time like
kids cast stones.

 

Skipping thought over dark waters i had left behind.
The tunnel that took me from there lit like a subway in
trip to vanish soon from my life.  

We left it in a single bed her skin smelling of my regret.

Ah, tou clever, you never fail in repulsing and exciting me in equal measure, I must say that last line, "We left it in a single bed her skin smelling of my regret.", couldn't be more perfect in ending a most torrid piece, love it!
