Walking Through the Woods with Jesus

Walking Through the Woods with Jesus

A Poem by Good Samaritan Toys

Walking Through the Woods with Jesus

I still remember walking through the woods and trees,
all the while feeling the warm sun and the gentle breeze.
The flowers were all in bloom and feeding the bees.
I sometimes felt someone walking just behind,
although I turned and looked no one was to find.

I would wonder if all of this was merely in my mind.
Could it be that Jesus was enjoying the walk too?

This happened more than once so it was nothing new.
Was He walking and listening under the ocean of blue?
I hoped this was to be so very true.
What a wonderful feeling of being so tight,
With the One who turned darkness into light.
I was enjoying the healing walk, feeling so right.
As I prayed for a solution to my earthly problem,
a small little black bird flew by and landed on a limb,
he just stretched and stared at me as I looked at him.
For just a moment I wondered if that was truly Him,
letting me know that He was nearby and all was alright.
That nothing on this earth was stronger than His might.
As for me and my belief, it was the One who gives salvation             enjoying a special day as we both walked through our Father's creation.

In the days of dread,
when our hands hold our head,
when our eyes are tired and red,
Always know that Jesus is with you.
He is a friend who is always true.
He never leaves one of His own,
Always know you are never alone.
For to talk to Him requires no phone,
He can hear you from the softest tone.
He has a passion beyond our understanding
for the ones He calls his own branding.

He stretched His perfect hands out wide one day,
as they raised Him for all to see and some to pray.
What a sight it was to see that cross planted in the clay.
I often wonder how a person would love me so much.
I have done some bad things in life but he healed such.
For by His forgiveness and His true love I feel His touch.
I want to thank Him for all He has done;
now I enjoy life and have a truck load of fun.
Thank you for showing me a purpose bigger than me,
Thank you for healing me and setting me free.
Now I want to build wooden toys,
for the little forgotten girls and boys.
I want to pass on the healing and the joys.

Thank you Jesus for letting me be reborn,

And repairing what was once tattered and torn.
