Bring Me Back

Bring Me Back

A Poem by Webster

Those blessed days, of happiness in full
Just cry no foul, clouds soft as wool
No tears to dread, just fears that fade
Gone so fast, every grade

Those days have passed, oh so soon
When did the sun set? On that innocent tune
No worries to hold, no fears to tear
Blissful sunshine, nothing could compare

When fright brought chills, I'd cover my eyes
Today I can't even, escape in disguise
I'd run away to mum's warm embrace
But all grown up, life I have to face

The hustle of today, brings a nostalgic rush
When the only crazy, was a hushed cuss
Giggling about, to a childish pun
A smile that shined, brighter than the sun

Bring back those days of innocence and indifference
Just make my present, shimmer with brilliance.
I wish, I wish upon a star, I don't wanna stay
Give me harmony, take me away.

About
Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
