In memorium

A Poem by Shandra Sun
"

What he would say when I die.

"

In memorium

She was a strange and fascinating woman. Her soul was full of ghosts, and her eyes filled with silent desires that I could not understand. She knew, like no one else, how to give tenderness. And in her moments of abandonment, she has showed me what Love is. She was sweet and bitter, soft and fierce.
She died.
And I was one of those who did not know how to cultivate her inner garden. I almost loved her. But whenever I thought I understood her, there was something else. I cherished her. As much as you can appreciate someone you do not understand.
I wish we would have met in our childisch years, without so many fears to tame. I am sure that, then, we would know how to love each other.

“I almost loved her”... that line broke my heart. It reveals a void she acknowledged and sadly seemed to accept. A compelling piece.
