Perspective

A Poem by Grandmary

Going stir crazy inside 4 walls
No visitors, no visiting
Nowhere to go at all
Watchinng the news
People complain
Calling for freedom
Declaring they've been imprisoned
Hoarding paper products,
Cleaning products,
Medical products
When we all wear masks,
What distinguishes a normal person
From a thief at the convenience store?
All are feeling trapped
By the pandemic disease
Except those of us who are older,
Used to being home alone
Seeing only our caregivers
And the occasional delivery man.

Very well put, and I think you speak for a lot of us. Being almost a hermit, the staying home part doesn't bother me, but I am pretty tired of having to cook so much.
