A Poem by Gray Witch

. . . so many, many questions

"

Questions and Answers

“Why You, “

they ask . . .?

“Why Me,”

I counter . . .?

I have a feeling, that I am being questioned,

" Why did he choose you?" they persist unrelenting,

Thinking hard, I try again to clearly answer.

I trust way too soon, I open up too, too wide,

I may sound needy to you, but always I side

On the path of fairness, social justice I seek.

Libra balance intuit, scales swing in the wind

Misconstrued by others who see me as just weak,

Has long been my cross to bear unabashedly.

Beguiled and loyal I am till the bitter end

Qualities sought out, so prized by the narcissist

Used and abused, so sly the child master.
