Love Under Glass

Love Under Glass

A Poem by Rev. LeRoy James
"

my take on vampiric love...

"
Swimming through the fabrics of dream
in between the realms of unseen horrors
I hunt with insatiable hunger
tracking sustenance,
finding a most delicious meal,
the lifeblood of mortal love.

Rhythmic lover's energy,
hormones in tumultuous vortex
spinning two hearts
in a blissful ignorance
of lust, love and devotion.

From beyond, I slowly siphon away
this frequency, feeding, slurping
up that delicious wavelength
feeling it fill my being,
nourishing my continued existence.

Words slap-spoken,
open handed anger
and frustration with traits
that endeared yesterday,
now grating with open wound salt
upon that final throbbing nerve.
The consequence of my feeding,
finger licking goodness.

I'm the reason you fall out of love.

Very interesting take on vampire love. When I was a girl I always thought vampires were sexy. I love your last line of this poem Keep on penning.
