Thoughts on the College Ninny

Thoughts on the College Ninny

A Poem by Green Regol

"
How do you feel now?
Is this for real, now?

"Baby, I still love you.
Baby, I still need you.
Darling,
Why don't we just sit and talk?
How about a nice moonlit walk?"

Doesn't it suck?
Doesn't it sting?
How's that for luck?
D'you feel a thing?

Is it love, or is it depression
That makes you want her back?
Are you seeking control of your precious possession
And pouting to find what you lack?

How does it feel now?
Are you for real, now?

"Baby, you just weren't good enough.
Baby, I'm so much smarter and stuff.
Darling,
You wont make it anywhere in life.
You'd prob'ly make a very needy wife."

You hope this cuts.
You hope it pains.
You've got some guts
But have no brains.

Is it hurt, or is it aggression
That makes you go and attack?
Are you feeling the burn of your latest rejection
And wishing to have what you lack?
