Slipping

Slipping

A Poem by Green Regol

"

I hate this f*****g loneliness,

This rage that burns within me.

I hate my f*****g foolishness,

Knowing what would come

And letting it be.

I knew it all before,

Isn't that what I told you?

I can't take this anymore,

Because I saw you;

I saw you both together,

I knew that loving look.

I caught that little smile;

I felt your mood sky-rocket.

I knew it all;

I saw what would happen.

You said you loved me, of course;

Debated it with such a passion.

I let you believe you did;

I let you have your fun

As I stood still and felt us slipping;

As I watched you slowly turning.

I hate this f*****g loneliness,

This rage that burns within me.

I hate my f*****g foolishness,

Knowing what would happen,

And not bracing myself better.
