That Place

That Place

A Poem by Green
"

"
You’re that place in my soul
That I guard
A weakness that was almost
A strength
I will leave it there
In a suspended animation
Until I can poke at it
And it doesn’t hurt anymore

We all have places like that and sometimes all it takes is lots of time and putting it down to experience to get to the place where it will numb it enough to become somewhere we cann prod without another eye bleeding ache.

Can only guess that a person knows 'What' has a right to hurt and what deserves to be thrown to the winds. But is difficult to decide when and where and how. Is for you to decide. A sad poem - perhaps lessening over time.. who knows. Hug.

Gloomy and broken. Will the hurt stop if you keep poking at it. Great read.

With love,

Wow, I immediately thought of a broken relationship with my son, I've always had to " put it up on a shelf", and only take it down and examine it, when it won't consume me. Your poem reminded me of alit of the reasons why I did that. Good poem
