I Am Three

I Am Three

A Poem by Bone and Brine

I am the Child
Purity and Innocence
Hope and Happiness are mine
I love all without hesitation

I am the Man
Mature, Grey-cloaked,
A wanderer of the world
Curiosity and learning are mine
I treasure wisdom and beauty
The wonders that are

I am the Monster
Hate and savagery
Flow through me like blood
I mourn lost Innocence
I yearn for pain, for death, for retribution

These are the three I feel like
When I wake up every morning
I am one
I am three

Author's Note

Bone and Brine
I've had this poem in my head for a while now. It's stayed that way through a series of unconnected ideas. Finally decided to just string them altogether.
