My Wee Dolly

A small poem I wrote in my free time. Might not be that superior.

Your alabaster hands,
Delicate as porcelain.

Your glossy eyes,
Shimmer like stars.

Your full lips,
Red as a rose.

Your elegant dress,
Smooth as silk.

Your fine hair,
Golden as the sun.

Your velvet hat,
Petite as a young doe.

My wee dolly,
How I love you so.
Through the toughest times,
I shall never let you go.

Not the best, I know. Wrote this on vacation, so I did not exactly have all the time in the world to plan it.

It's sweet and girlie, we get attached to our dolls and they then serve us well to bring back sweet memories. Love the porcelain one's the best.

When my daughter was born my mother gave her a porcelain doll she had had as a child. Now years after her death the doll stands in our home and is a reminder of my mother.
I think we all have those special toys from our youth that we keep and bring with us whreever we go. Almost as a talisman of innocence.
