Caught on the in between

Caught on the in between

A Poem by Heidi Causey

I contemplate life
Stuck on the in between.
Wedged between drowning on air and breathing water.

I watch the waves roll by and the clouds lap sky, and wonder if it's me I see in the reflection.

Stuck in my subconscious, where the voices come in threes, I watch bodies wage war over my Destiny.

I contemplate life
Stuck on the in between
wedged between drowning on air and breathing water.
