Muse: Speed Painting

Muse: Speed Painting

A Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
"

Nothing grand or emotional here... saw some speed painting online, and my hands ran with it. lol

"
Frenzied brush strokes-
determining their own measures,
paint you chocolate
in amber's glaze...
a mind on tilt
cartwheels in abstract visions.

Up close:
bursting earth tones.
From afar:
God smiling back.

You are welcome my friend.
Your muse had you painting abstract and this reader saw it clearly. The wonderful thing about abstract is that it is so subjective, just like poetry is. I liked what I read and even more the energy, enthusiasm and vibrancy in the brush strokes. Good to read you again Travis, it's been a while.

You are welcome.
this poem is just like an abstract painting...
and reflects much how I write poetry...bursts, frenzied fingers across the keyboard...
hoping something ends up making sense.
I really like your line "cartwheels in abstract vision"--
you are so talented my friend.
I bow to your ability to paint words on a page.
