The Damage Is Done

The Damage Is Done

A Poem by Holly Mason

YOU BAD LITTLE GIRL,
YOU ROTTEN LITTLE _ITCH,
WHY DID I EVER HAVE YOU,
GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME,
STOP BEING YOU,
YOU ARE WORTHLESS,
PIECE OF CRAP KID!
They know you hate them.
It will be to late soon.
Stop ,clear your view.
The damage is done.
Oh but of course,
your conscience is clear.
The kid was crappy,
you told them,
year after year.

Well written, and raw.
I like it, but at the same time loathe it as I had to listen to this as a child.
Thank you for sharing.
ps: this is a GOOD review.

you have a gift for putting your emotions into words, at least that's the way I see it... I could be completely wrong and this just an imaginary tale, but it seems very personal, as some of your other writings do... again, very good job and thanks for shaing!

I do hope I am reading this correctly, because i see this all the time.Parents that you have to wonder why they became parents in the first place. Screaming at kids like it's their fault the adult has made a mess of their life and it isnt going to planned. There is noting worse than seeing the look of confusion and hurt on a childs face trying to comprehend their own parents rage. I dont usually share my personal opinions, but i will on this case. people should need a licence to have children. It's no wonder some of these kids continue the cycle, having spent their formative years being screamed at. it's even more amazing when some of them turn out to be a success.
Brave and provocatve piece. please feel free to delete this if i'm offline.
