pictures of souls

~ oh... how i love this post... english is my second language (maybe third)... and i've never studied poetry... so... i relate to the spirit of this post deeply... ~ you see, the thing is... there's no writing test that one has to pass before joining this site... and there's no reviewing test either... ~ charlie started this site to encourage everyone who knows a bit of the english language to write and review... both (reviewing and writing) are therapeutic activities... people who have a problem with those who are not "grammar queens" should create a kingdom of "grammar queens" (where they can fight with each other about who should be the "queen of queens" hahahahaha :P)... or block everyone who is beneath their high standards... ~ they look idiotic walking around with a stick saying "write like this and not like that"... i mean why would we be on the internet if we wanted to go back to school ? ... ~ these self-appointed teachers need to get the required degrees and teach in schools and colleges... this is the internet... it doesn't care about who has a PhD and who doesn't... all it cares about is whether you have a computer and an internet connection... ~ every time i add a piece of writing... i get to choose... on my own... if i'm posting poetry or a story... no cops to give me a parking ticket... how cool is that ? ... hahahaha... :P

i feel you on this....i very rarely, if ever comment on use of caps (well, i don't use them) or punctuation, as long as it doesn't deter from the write. anyone with half a grain of knowledge and respect can tell when a person uses them and why they do or don't. these "hardline" critics on here who are so impressed with themselves are boring and obtuse, to say the least, and get no respect or attention from me unless they cross the line of common decency. after i block them, i try my best to ignore their callous stupidity and reckless cruelty. Holly, i certainly have no objection to the way that you review!

The thing about poetry is there does not have to be perfect punctuation or sentences, it is about the creativity. Some people just don't understand true poetry.
