Summer Suns Fire

Summer Suns Fire

A Poem by Holly Mason

simmering heat of summer suns fire
alone in thought of what will transpire
a tunnel of transition is the entering gate
hopeless wonder with an unsealed fate
garnish the tithes of given lost souls
cease the death of unproven tolls
creeping behind, leaving what was
summer suns fire will do what it does
reaping sites that the blind will see
forming what you will eventually be
shed the torment, repress the light
opening eyes into forever sight
transitioning patterns of what was thought
simmering heat of a soul that's taught
renewing soul with chattering eyes
you speak with no words, all the more wise

i wish we would open our eyes...some say fire some say ice...mmm fire wins...

and there will be no more words...what i particularly like about this poem, even though it rhymes, is that it sounds like it just rolled off your poetic tongue onto the page..no stoppage to try to fit words into the scheme...very natural.
