Dorian's Eulogy

Dorian's Eulogy

A Poem by Gabrielle Conroy
"

I also wrote this for an English Project back in November for the first half of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (that was the assignment). What do you think?

"
His picture painted by the master.
He only thought of himself.
Lord Henry's talk grew his ego faster.
He never asked for Basil's help.
He was handsome as can be.
His life was changed by the lady.

He had no guilt for anything.
It doesn't mater what people say.
Any advice he would dismiss
Because his name is Dorian Gray.

Sibyl Vane was his love.
Dorian wanted to marry her.
Henry suggested give marriage a shove;
It wasn't something he'd like to endure.
Dorian completely pushed aside.
Her broken heart caused her suicide.

He had no guilt for anything.
It doesn't mater what people say.
Any advice he would dismiss
Because his name is Dorian Gray.

I recently rewatched this movie. I've also read the book several times. You seem to have caught the essence of the unfortunate Mr. Gray. I must say I've always thought Lord Henry the real culprit
One suggestion:

"It doesn't (mater){matter} what people say."
