What is that Feeling?

What is that Feeling?

A Poem by Valentin Velkov

What is it that tugs at your heart?
What is it that weightens your mind?
That which pulls your being apart,
Saddens your soul and takes the kind
Forming a crater of pained void
Within the heart, of ethereal binds

This feeling does destroy social
Directing consciousness inwards
Ideas psychological
Immerge from within minds borders
Forming art and revolution
From the passionately cold pain

So what is this soulful abyss?
What is this isolating art?
That terrific thought taken from this,
Wallowing of despairful wart?
Why, it be the very curse faced
By us all, at some point in life
The inescapable feeling
Of lingering loneliness
