I Don't Care Dad

I Don't Care Dad

A Poem by Half Dream

What if I told you that I no longer care?
Your bad words, and the friendships that I shattered on my hand, the broken promises, My black past
Everything! Think of it as you want, and call me whatever you want
The past I burned in my hands
And the future is on Lord's hand
And the present I closed my ears from your words that fills me with pain
I know everything, your lies, your hate
I know that I don't taste palatable, and I can't utter the word, NO
But I don't care
I'll make my dreams, and I will read, I'll dream and I don't care
I will pray and no longer care
I'll Laugh and cry and would regret and I'll be hurt but I finally don't care
I do not love anyone would not love anyone I do not deserve anyone
I'll climb on my shoulders and pat on it when I cry
I'll hold my own hand when I need
I do not care
I was born free, and I will remain free
Say what you want, and create what you want, I'll stand on my gray
