Growing Up Abuse

Growing Up Abuse

A Poem by Half Dream

You haven't experience the bitterness of loss,
Unless if you lost yourself as a kid,
When you wish to meet yourself
When you were a lonely kid,
Who flopped in multiple attempts to belong to this world,
Just to find your way to candy and toys.

She used to climb on her own shoulder and pat on it.
She used to hold herself with her little hands until she fall asleep,

Why was it impossible for you to be a father?
What prevents you to let your confused child to cry on your chest,
To hold her strongly and make her feel safe,
To teach her the meaning of homeland
Before she learned it by herself,
Before she suffer in attempts to find it in the world,

Years passes by,
You get older,
Whenever you read,
You try to find yourself
But you feel lost
Because you don't know who you are..
You don't know how to deal with your sadness,
And you do not know the reason of it..
How you grew up
And you didn't grow up at the same time?

They're many abuses in life but none as despicable as child abuse.
Mentally or physically, abuse is abuse and those who choose to deal
out this abuse are nothing short of filth in it's purest form.

A melancholic piece of writing, Besides a couple of grammatical errs
nicely done.
