Without You...

I wrote this for my brother who passed away in car accident last year. Things are very very though without him. He used be my best friend and my only friend. :(

When I last said goodbye,

 

I said that I would see you again,

 

but now since youre gone, that is a lie.

 

When I look up at the sky,

and I remember us pointing out stars,

 

the memories are too sad and I let myself cry.

 

I never thought you would die,

 

I didn’t ever tell you,

 

You were my best friend

The willow trees hung limp,

 

and the birds didn’t fly,

 

as I knelt by your gravestone to say goodbye.

 

You were too young to die

I feel so empty without you,

 

I’m wishing to die.

 

So this is Heaven, up in the sky,

 

Then I see your face,

The face of my brother, my only friend.

A personal write... I do not even know if this one needs a review... a missing void in your life... and the idea of why and the search for the answers... If the passing was easier and less heartfelt... but not when those close to you are affected... this give more to the issue... we learn to balance over time...
