Wherever I go...

Wherever I go...

A Poem by Half Dream

People pass by

I can see that they're in their own worlds

talking to someone

I walk along with them

alone

I brush past them

each bump

makes me anxious

and lonely

Then I remember

how weak I must seem

to want

that simple

human connection

I seem frail

don't I?

I never reach out

with open arms

holding out my hand

for someone else

I just sit

wait

for a person to come

a person to smile

give me a few words

of true kindness

and friendliness

I hope

when this happens

I won't shrink

away

I won't deny it

and hide

So all I will do

is sit

and wait

Is that

wrong

for me to not take

any action

to not make

that simple move?

perhaps

and perhaps not!

This is a quest for an answer... a likelihood event in which finding the truth will make you whole again... the people around you just seem like shadows... but they are real to the touch... only time heals the answer you're looking for in this write... perhaps is likely you're answer...
