keeping myself in the dark

keeping myself in the dark

A Poem by Half_Lifes
"

...

"
Sitting in a translucent bubble
smoke flows freely

In and out

More frequently than oxygen,
Is it surprising then
To observe that I am half alive,
Half starved of life.

They say I do it to myself
I certainly don't do it for my health
Why sit here writing endlessly
and live through artificial dreams
squint through foggy tinted specks
When sparks don't light up anymore

Keeping myself in the dark.
