The Fight

The Fight

A Poem by Hana Saemon
"

One of those not so rainbow days between a cancer patient and a caregiver

"
I have no idea?
I heard you my dear
So what's the point of me even trying?
Brush me off
Walk away
You've totally passed the point of caring
But it's okay
Push me away
If i say it doesn't hurt, i'd be lying
You're in pain
That I know
I just want to see you living
Is that wrong?
What do you expect?
I'll sit here and watch you slowly dying?
You're not gonna go
Not without a fight
I have faith in you, so continue fighting
It's not easy for me
I am fighting too
But it's not a battle i'd be losing
You've held it up
Far too long perhaps
I know you are at the point of breaking
But it will be selfish
To give up this fight
Cause I am right here waiting
