My invincible Sea

My invincible Sea

A Poem by Hanna01
"

Dedicated to my grandma who died last week and who used to love the sea.

"

The last sun rays fall onto the beach

Warming; but unable to reach

The stones; mighty and unforgiving they stand

In the middle of the bluish land

Waves; roaring but gentle, gentle but powerful

They play and build and consume and pull

Like most dangerous things, stunning

Like most beautiful things cunning

The wind whispers, is silent, then screams

Only touching the surface or so it seems

But unsettles the ocean at its darkest deepest core

Learns untold secrets and buries them again forevermore

Always been there and always will be

My past, my future, my invincible sea

Author's Note

Hanna01
My grandma lived at the sea but during her last years, she wasn't able to walk anymore and go to the beach to watch her beloved ocean. Today was her funeral and I couldn't sleep until this was finished. Thank you for reading it.
