L-L-L-Left

L-L-L-Left

A Poem by Hansa Malik
"

To a father by angry daughter.

"

L-L-L-LEFT!

Little do you know the pain you’ve put me through,
Carrying your name and walking around with your face.
You left her squalling over and over again,
Leaving the two only to embrace.

With time I realised,
That your life is nothing but one thousand lies.
Your love is for offcomer but me,
Knowing you’re left behind, but hey? time flies.

It doesn’t mean anything to you,
You didn’t even think to try.
But it’s me you’ll never sight,
Expecting me to ask you why?

None of my strengths come from you,
Standing stronger without a doubt.
You’re someone who never came through,
No more ears to perceive them shout.

I’ll walk slow but won’t look back,
Forging future without you on my side.
They’ll lift me up and put me high,
To the world I’ve got nothing to hide.

With no good memories,
You were still once a twinkle of my eye.
I’ve given up on you,
And I L-L-L-Left today without a word of goodbye!
