Only at night

Only at night

A Poem by Savannah Gossett

Growing up I lived by a lake

So when it got dark out

I always ran outside to take in the beautiful view

But things have changed

And not for the better

I was in a car accident around the age of twenty

After looking at the beautiful night everyday

I can only imagine what life will be like now

Now that I have lost my eye site

I can never see again

But a part of me still imagines

what it was like as a kid by that lake

Looking at that view

I don’t know what my life will look like from now on

But what I do know is how much I miss that night sky

And how pretty the stars and moon were

But only at night did I have fun

To lose your vision after a lifetime of seeing. I believe you would remember and your would need again. I liked the story written. The quiet lake at night would be pleasure memory to hold on to. Thank you dear Savannah for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
