Fall

Fall is the season of light air coldness

And pumpkin spices

Fall is also a happy time of year

Considering all the holidays it brings after

But not for him

For him this is the time of year that he lost everything

He lost his scholarship for his sport

He lost his girlfriend

He even lost his brother

All because he was reckless and got drunk

Behind the wheel of a car

With the people he loves most in it

He doesn’t want to believe it’s his fault

But he can’t stop thinking about why

Why did he have that one more beer

Why was he stupid enough to get behind that wheel

And why did no one stop him

Other than the pain of his loss

He also has the pain in his shoulder

Because he got in that car accident he can’t swim

So what does fall mean for him

Fall is the worst season imaginable

Because of something he could have controlled

So why didn’t he stop

Why did he drink in the first place

Why

His excuse for drinking was to have fun

But deep down he knows he misses his dad

So should he blame himself for losing everything

Or should he blame his dad for leaving so early

Just to start another family

So to him Fall is fall

The worst season of the year

Coyote Poetry

Life can be tricky. Bad situation make days and month so sad. I lost two brothers to suicide in August and my friends, I served with in the Army.
"So to him Fall is fall
The worst season of the year"
The closing lines were solid and we pay for every sin and we get paid for every good deeds also. Karma is fair. Thank you dear Savannah for sharing the amazing poetry and the story.
