My Apology

My Apology

A Poem by Leindor
"

Unfinished

"
I'll admit that I was dishonest
When I'd tell you you were cool
You'd strut around town in bright colors
I'd tell others you were a fool

To tell the truth
I was a brute
I held the knife deep in your back
And when you cried
I always lied
I knew the best times to attack

I wanna say I'm sorry
For all the times that I have let you down
I feel so guilty
For kicking you when you were on the ground
Whenever you would call for me
Dishonestly, I'd never hear a sound
Can you still hear me?
Would you accept my apology?

A great idea of resenting betrayal is represented in this writing. I enjoyed reading it and the sadness of realization in the wrong doing was so genuine. Thank you for the writing.
