Fear

Fear

A Poem by Arlen

Powerful enough to suppress the secret of the soul
Think of all of your knowledge that's been stole
Feeding the energy of the serpent race
Don't panic just slow down the pace
We are much more capable than we think
To scared of it we resort to a drink
Fronting to hide the pains
But deep down the fear remains
There's no need to hide the emotion
Over come it and spread the joy like lotion
Disguising it with a mask called anger
Indulging in it only leads to danger
Don't be fooled it can control the mind
It can hold down like being caught in a bind
How can such a word have so much power
Intensified after they knocked down the tower
Negative energy is how they get their feed
Millions of years ago they planted the seed
People do terrible things when they're scared
Get out of the trance or life won't be spared

I got into writing poetry at a point in my life where I was really down and depressed as a teenager. As I started to release my creative expression, the more things started to flow for me. I realized .. more..
