Pandora's Box

Pandora's Box

A Poem by Harriet Rose
"

Kind of dark but that's just my brain for you.

"

I hate this numbness.

It’s the kind of numbness that hides,

hides in the dark spaces of my mind,

waiting

waiting

waiting

for something to happen,

something that’ll shine light on the dark, dark

corners of my brain that make the contents

of Pandora’s box look non violent.
