My Friend

My Friend

A Poem by Harriet Rose
"

The flow isn't great, but it's a work in progress.

"

What is this?

What is this feeling?

I don’t quite understand it,

It’s sent my mind reeling.

I’ve felt it before but, not in years.

Why when I think about it,

does it bring me to tears?

I feel it more when I'm with you,

more than I ever have,

in your presence I’m never blue.

I know that when you leave me,

I’ll fall apart again,

but remembering all the good times

will keep me alive, my friend.

Close friends are truly life's treasures. Sometimes they know us better than we know ourselves. With gentle honesty, they are there to guide and support us, to share our laughter and our tears. Their presence reminds us that we are never really alone."
- Vincent van Gogh -

To hold on memories of harmony , people come and go in our lives. Everyone you meet has a part to play in your story. And while some may take a chapter, others a paragraph, and most will be more than scribbled notes in the margins, someday you'll meet someone who will become integral to your life, you'll put their name in the title. To see you are walking the broken road some heartbreaks will happen but you are never alone , you are always watch by the heavens . An invisible angel clinging to your back. Keep walking and be the warrior you always are. Beautiful combined with pain, keep writing poetry on bones around you and most importantly your heart. Sincerely your friend in poetry and life.
