In the prostitute"s mind

In the prostitute"s mind

A Poem by Harris Malik

The bare soul
A hopeless hole
Scares every where
Does any one care
Frights of the night
Laying in the corner of a dark room with dim lights
Silent screams for divine
Awww that knock on the door
Is it God there?or just another flesh bidder
Hahahaha God doesn't come to a s***s den (inner voice)
It must be another man
Here he is with his devilish smile
Giving her sight of currency notes delight
How easy it is to bid for flesh ?
And even if you don't win ,you can still take her to bed
And she will smile for a while
In her little dress, dark lipstick laying on her sinful bed
After he is gone
After the rituals of lust
She will lay again
Torn between hope and reality
Will God come ?
But we all know it will just be another man

People are the same and yet people are different. Unique but not. We make many assumptions - and so many are valid some of the time but not everytime.

Generalizing mindsets is a dangerous assumption... you start to believe your opinions.

This is such a sad poem. The cycle of grief and sin is truly expressed and the person feels trapped in this lifestyle. The wording makes it easy to visualize with enough mystery left to the imagination
