My Nightingale

My Nightingale

A Poem by Haunzwürthe
"

It's a voice of reason, a voice of compassion, a voice of encouragement. But whatever it is, it can have this same effect.

"

Songs of sweet romantic melodies
Leaves my soul in blessed peace
A wondrous sound, these blissful tunes
And this musician, feathered sings
A silhouette to the moon.

A nightingale, this bird of song
Takes my lonely heart along
Deep down within her soft refrain
To which I feel I now belong
That rests my tired and weary brain.

I'll always love and treasure dear
She whose songs relieve my fear
The keeper of my sanity
And as the coming night draws near
My nightingale, she sings to me.
