Child...

Child...

A Poem by Jester
"

I wrote this one day, thinking of a small girl talking to a man... a man who's lost his way, really.

"

Go away, child.

You don't understand!

Why can't you ask nicely?

Why must you demand?

Because if I don't,

you'll never leave me alone.

Why, I'm tempted to bang on your chest

Is there anyone home?

Of course there is, child!

Just please, let me be!

Not a chance, I must keep at this

Even if you decide to harm me

Why do you persist?

This isn't worth my time!

Ah, but you don't understand.

It's not your time wasted, it's mine

I'm trying to help, I really am.

It's harder than I thought.

It'll be worth it in the end

You'll get the peace you once sought.

Child, why are you doing this?

I don't deserve such kindness...

Of course you do, you just don't see

The only thing stopping you is your blindness.

Jester
A conversation between two people... I dunno, I came up with it one day.
