The Old Man (Edited)

The Old Man (Edited)

A Poem by Becky

Looking Through the Eyes

Of a man that I once knew

I saw a life of Happiness

That I thought we all could feel

Until one day I noticed

No one was around

This man was lonely

Forgotten and thrown away

Seen once or twice

By a Family he had loved

But they have abandoned him also

With no kiss or Hug

This man was broken

But he did know

That all the things he’s seen in life

Eventually had to go

Life passed by him

Faster then it came

He wishes he could take it back

But it will never be the same.

Once thought to be wise men, old men are discarded and thought by the younger generations to be wrinkly and gross. My younger sister tells me all the time how gross my Great Uncle is. Honestly, its disrespectful. Good job capturing the ugliness of this but making it sound pretty ;D Well done, love. XOXO,

A poem that speak the truth. In the old days we took care of our Grandparent. Today age isn't as respected. Every day-off I went and visit my Grandmother. Brought her food and little things she wanted. My mother would complain she has to visit. I told her one day you won't have to and you will feel sorry. Poem had purpose and reason. A excellent poem.
